Todd Rigione and Judi Looyega are the artists and founders of Madcamp, Inc. Todd is a self-taught artist, learning everything by observing his favorite artists and experimenting with different techniques and mediums. Judi's greatest artistic influence is her mentor, Aunt Barbara. Before painting background art, Judi worked mainly with oil on canvas. Although she has had a passion for art since a very young age, she got a degree in Political Science because one can never make money 'doing something you love.' (Otherwise it wouldn't be called work. Right?) You can find their fine art for sale not only in their Bed & Breakfast in Rapid City but also in galleries and coffee shops. Both have sold art pieces ranging from $300 to $2500. Background art is a new venture that began in 2004, selling to a local photographer. Who would ever guess it would lead them to a new life of travel, meeting wonderful artists in the photography industry, and realizing their dream of making a living selling art. Price range is $400-$475 plus shipping, for 6' x 10' canvas mounted on a dowell. Occasionaly we will have other sizes in stock, and they will be priced as marked. Backgrounds can be ordered from the 'Complete Catalog'. Since each is an original piece of art, the newly painted background will be a version of the original but not an exact replica. The 6' x 10' canvas backgrounds that must be painted cost $475 plus shipping. Customize your background. Feel free to modify styles and colors, combine patterns from various backgrounds, etc. We paint on any size canvas, muslin, studio walls, floors, .... you name it. Just call us to negotiate a price. Shipping: Shipping for 6' x 10' canvas background is $25. Shipping cost will vary for muslins and larger backgrounds.Help
HOW TO USE THE MADCAMP WEBSITE Click on any thumbnail on the left to see it enlarge on the right of your screen. Use the arrows to the loft of 'In Stock $400' to scroll up and down the page. The same arrows are on the 'complete catalog' page. Abovoe the larger image that appears on the right, you will see add favorites. Click on these words to add an image to your personalized favorites page - you will see a heart appear not only on the image to the right, but also on the thumbnail in the list to the left. You can also choose favorites from the complete catalog. Click on favorites at the top of the screen to review your favorites page. To remove a fovorite, simply click remove favoritewhich appears above the enlarged image on the right. Above the larger image on the right, you may see the phrase see example. This means that a 'Friend of Madcamp' (one of our lovely customers who has sent us images) has some samples to show how this background can be used.
